Superbrands International Media Coverage

The Personalities selection process began with a consumer survey conducted by AMINT, a market research and analysis company, in which each consumer was asked to spontaneously name three people they recognized in their respective fields. The list of the most referenced names was then voted on by the Superbrands Council, made up of a group of 16 professionals linked to different Brands and from different sectors. From this evaluation, 16 nominees emerged, four in each of the categories: Catarina Furtado, João Baião, Júlia Pinheiro and Manuel Luís Goucha, in the 'TV Presenters' category; Diogo Morgado, Joaquim de Almeida, Pedro Teixeira and Ruy de Carvalho, in the 'Actors' category; Inês Rochinha, Liliana Filipa, Lucas with Strangers and Margarida Corceiro, in the 'Young Influencers' category; António Silva, Diogo Ribeiro, João Félix and João Neves, in the 'Young Sportspeople' category. These names were then put to a vote on an open, online platform, with the awards being given to the Personalities who received the highest number of public votes in their categories. In this edition, the Superbrands Solidária award was once again given to Associação Salvador for its work with people with motor disabilities, following the dream of making the world a more inclusive and accessible place for everyone, without exception. The Superbrands Solidária award was born from Superbrands Portugal's desire to praise and reward social causes that, through their actions, stand out in 2024 in creating a better world. PERSONALITIES OF EXCELLENCE 2024 Manuel Luís Goucha – A reference for the national public, he has a television career spanning 42 years, 32 of which he spent hosting daily programmes and multiple entertainment formats. Ruy de Carvalho – With an 82-year career, the theater has been his “home”, however, he has participated in several Portuguese soap operas, series and films, and is considered one of the most emblematic and beloved Portuguese actors. Liliana Filipa – Mother, businesswoman and influencer, she is one of the most followed young women in Portugal. With a degree in Design, her creativity and vision led her to create her own fashion and beauty brand. João Neves – A young talent who signed his first professional contract with Sport Lisboa e Benfica in 2020. In 2023, he made his debut for the Portugal senior team and currently plays for Paris Saint-Germain in France.
