Last night the awards were presented to winners by Public Relations Practitioners Society of Malaysia Chairman and former Deputy Education Minister, Datuk P. Kamalanathan and online personality Auntie Purple, in two sessions. Kamalanathan meanwhile said as a former deputy cabinet minister, he have seen the evolution and progress of many brands in Malaysia. " It warms my heart when foreign business leaders and decision makers already know of our local brands from Malaysian Batik to our other made in Malaysia brands that make us proud internationally. "Ultimately, the sheer reputation and image of a leading brand is a high motivator for employees who like to be associated with national and global famous names. This in turn reinforces higher morale as well as employee loyalty as the best people always want to work for the best employers. "Suppliers as well as customers too are reassured that they are working and dealing with a great brand. " As regional and global borders shrink or even disappear, branding becomes even more crucial as the traditional brick and mortar models are overtaken by online initiatives," kamalanathan said. Among the award recipients were brands such as Mydobi, Perfume Paradise, Hurix, Bunga Raya Ku's, Dental Malaya, Empire Sushi, Dora Slimming, Dr Anne skin care, Haier, My Flavor, ST Guchi, Kapten Batik, Maverick schools and Yun Nam hair care.
